![]() Hello! How are you doing today? Are you finding joy in creativity? I am. I saw Julie Pitta's blog (check out her video for directions) the other day and just had to try my hand at making fabric rings. I found the rings at a local craft store. The fabric is Deck the Halls (#121716, www.gratefulstampers.stampinup.net) from Stampin'Up! Yes, Stampin'Up! is now carrying fabric that coordinates with the Designer Series paper of the same name. The colors that coordinate are Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake. IFor the first one (all red) cut a 7.5x1" strip of Cherry Cobbler abric, put a small dot of hot glue on the middle of the short side, folded the fabric right side out and started twisting and adding small amount of glue to hold it together. Put a Chocolate Chip epoxy striped brad (retired, sorry) in the middle and used hot glue to adhere it to the ring base. For the second and fuller one, cut a strip of the Cherry Cobbler and the Always Artichoke with Cherry Cobbler fabrics. Adhere the short end together on one side, start twisting and adhering with hot glue. put Flowered epoxy brad in the center (retired). mouont onto ring base with hot glue. Let me know what you think! My second Holiday mini order arrived on Wednesday. I had so much fun today creating with the Joyful Season Letterpress Plate (Item # 120981, bought from www.gratefulstampers.stampinup.net). The first cards were made using craft ink which is recommended. Then I tried using StampinWrite markers, they worked great, too. It is much easier to color the individual images with markers. The first few images were made on Whisper White cardstock. then watercolor paper and Textured Cardstock. Definitely got deeper impression with the latter papers. Some of the images are watercolored after printing. The colors to match the new Candy Cane Designer Fabric (Item # 121715), which are Garden Green, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride and Real Red). A 6x12" strip of fabric was backed with Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive sheet (Item # 120805). Then cut with Bigz XL die Tasteful Trim (Item # 120893). This makes the fabric easy to cut and adhere to the card front. Let me know what you think about these images. Did you know that Stampin'Up! supports Ronald McDonald House?
