When I was growing up, we had a cookout at a park with family and friends. My favorite parts were swimming and going to the fireworks with my Dad. He loved getting up close so we could see the ground displays of flags and fountains. We could fee the booms shake the ground under us. Dad worked so much of the time - this was our vacation. Now that he is past on, it is a tradition that my husband and I keep. Going to see the fireworks!
Wendell & I have been to two parties and are heading to the Little Rock Fireworks tonight.
